Box Clever Tax is a tax consultancy business based in Dublin. To help bolster their social media presence on LinkedIn, Media Mill produced a series of short Tax Tip videos showcasing their expertise across a wide range of tax issues.
To help accommodate for tight schedules, Media Mill used a ‘pop up’ filming setup for each instalment of this project. This kept a consistent look across the series, even though each of the 3 filming sessions took place in 3 different locations. Over the course of 3 shoots, just shy of 30 videos were produced.
BoxCleverTax wanted to produce a series of short informational videos to showcase their expertise in their sector. These videos would be delivered as speaking pieces to camera, with each video describing common tax issues using fictional characters and scenarios.
Media Mill conducted pre-planning discussions with Sysco to understand their objectives and key moments to capture. A detailed shooting schedule was developed to ensure comprehensive coverage of the stand and interactions.
Each shoot made use of a standard 3-point lighting setup. Seeing as BoxCleverTax didn’t have a solidified brand identity at the time of filming, Media Mill opted to illuminate a plain pop-up backdrop with RGB lights to help create an attention-grabbing look to the series, with hues inspired by BoxCleverTax’s existing marketing material.
Animated intro and outro graphics were created for use across the entire series. Each of the videos was edited together using the best takes for each subject matter. Special attention was made to keep the pace fast while staying informative. Subtitles were added so the videos are assessable, even if the viewer has audio muted when scrolling.
BoxCleverTax’s series of Tax Tip videos have showcased their expertise as well as easy-going personality, fostering positive engagement on LinkedIn and ultimately opening up the business to a new client base.
